Lenten Photo-A-Day: Thirst

Thirst

My favourite beach: Conrad’s Beach

Have you seen/heard about the ‘super bloom‘ in Death Valley? When the conditions are just right, the desert produces a riot of colourful flowers. The seeds have been lying dormant, for years, until they burst forth. They have been thirsting for water.

I am reminded that without water, we cannot bear fruit. I am also reminded that there are seasons of dormancy. What is lying dormant in my life, waiting for life giving waters to quench your thirst? What is lying dormant in yours?

“Flowers will bloom in the desert..”

  1. Good thought. So many possible variations in reflection. Water can stand for love, encouragement, attention. LFYO.
